    Caving in Slovenia (July 2009)
Some two years ago we heard about yearly caving-trips to Slovenia. Now, finally, we managed to join one! Apart from an accident of a member of our group and rather bad wheater, we had a great week!

New Zealand 2007 (last updated on 2009-06-28)
Tsuki and me were in New Zealand from 2007-11-19 until 2007-12-11, that is about 3 weeks. Some of the days were invested into the flight itself and a stopover in Singapore. We rented a car and explored first the South Island, then the North Island of New Zealand. To make it short: The trip was great! My personal highlights were the rainforest, the caves and the volcanic things.

    Etna and Stromboli 2009
Since I was a child, volcanoes fascinated me (as did caves, robots, lasers, gems, astronomy etc.). In New Zealand, this fascination was re-ignited. Finally, I booked a trip to two active volcanoes in Italy: Etna in the east of Sicily, and Stromboli with is the name of both the island and vulcano that it consists of.

    USA, Southwest (2008-10-26)
in September/October 2008, we spent 3 weeks in the Southwest of the United States. As in New Zealand, we rented a car. But this time, we had 3 cameras, a tripod and a laptop with us. The funny thing was that it was not like "Hey, I need vacation, where to go?", but "OMFG, look on that crazy colorful geology on that website! Gotta see that myself, I'll be right back!"
