Since I was a child, volcanoes fascinated me (as did caves, robots, lasers, gems, astronomy etc.). In New Zealand, this fascination was re-ignited. Finally, I booked a trip to two active volcanoes in Italy: Etna in the east of Sicily, and Stromboli with is the name of both the island and vulcano that it consists of. I guess we can be quite lucky to be so close to two of the most active volcanoes in the world! (only 1h 45min by plane)
Note: Photos are from both me and Tsuki, as usual. We had to touch-up some of the photos to reduce the haze, especially at the Bocca Nuova.
